ABOUT ME

Hi! I am so glad that you’re here. Seeking therapy is a huge step, and is one of the very best ways that you can care for yourself and your relationships. I love working one on one with people to rediscover their values, and connect with joy, health, and relationships. I received my Bachelors in Psychology from Baylor University, and my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of North Texas. My areas of focus are eating disorders, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem/self-worth, and perinatal conditions. Prior to transitioning to outpatient, I spent several years working in an eating disorder treatment center with patients at higher levels of care, so I am comfortable managing that process if needed. I have collaborative, working relationships with psychiatrists and dieticians, and value a team-based approach.

Since having my third child, I have expanded my practice to include postpartum anxiety, depression, and the unique challenges of adjusting to motherhood and parenting. I love coming alongside moms to support this amazing, but sometimes very challenging, transition.

I work with older teens and adults, typically ages 17 and up.

I am also fully trained in EMDR and incorporate it, as appropriate and desired, into our sessions.

When I’m not counseling, I love being outside (ideally in the spring and fall, because it’s Texas :) ) , running, hanging out with my husband and 3 little boys, trying new restaurants, and planning our next trip. I look forward to meeting you!!
